Zenoss Domain Migration to Virtana.ai

What is changing? 
We are replacing the use of the zenoss.io and zenoss.eu domains with a new domain, virtana.ai.
 

Why are we changing?  

Virtana acquired Zenoss in May 2025 and we are updating our domain to bring together Zenoss Cloud, now Service Observability, with Virtana’s Hybrid Observability Platform, providing a consistent experience for customers. 

 

When is it changing? 

On Monday, December 15^th, 2025, all Production tenants of Zenoss Cloud will be switched to the virtana.ai domain and the zenoss.io/zenoss.eu domains will no longer work. 

On both Monday, December 1^st and Monday, December 8^th from 12pm to 2pm central time the zenoss.io/zenoss.eu domains will be temporarily disabled for 2 hours as a “Brownout test”. 

How are customers impacted and what action do you need to take? 

 This means API calls and email notifications will now reference virtana.ai instead of zenoss.io/zenoss.eu and need to be updated. The new endpoints are documented here: Zenoss API - Cloud Documentation   

 Please prepare for the following changes: 

• Update API endpoint references from zenoss.io to virtana.ai. 
• Adjust email filters to accept emails from @virtana.ai domain. 
• If you use domain filtering, whitelist virtana.ai 
• Note that Zenoss will be adding appropriate host file entries to CZ collector appliances as needed ahead of the removal of the zenoss.io/eu domains. No action is required to manage that on your part.
• If you use firewalls with specific rules around zenoss.io/zenoss.eu domains those need to be updated to accommodate virtana.ai transition. Consider working with your network admin

Will the Zenoss URLs work after Dec 15, 2025?

No, customers are expected to be using the [tenant].virtana.ai URL before the Dec 15 cutover.

 Will there be any downtime?

No, there will be no downtime, this is simply a domain change. The Virtana.ai domain is active and will not be affected by the switchover. Customers are encouraged to start using the new virtana.ai domain immediately.

Will my existing IDP be impacted?

No. There will be no impact to existing IDP integrations. But please check specific configuration on the IDP to make sure zenoss.io/zenoss.eu is not referenced in any fallback URLs.

 

Will there be any changes to where our data is hosted? We use the EU domain to be compliant with GDPR?

No changes to data residency requirements. Zenoss Cloud hosting locations and regions are not changing.
