Known Issue: ZPS-1614 - vSphere ZenPack creates duplicate components, causes Service Impact graph bloat and slow ZODB performance

Affects: Users running both Zenoss Service Impact and vSphere ZenPack versions 3.6.0 - 3.6.2.

vSphere ZenPack version 3.6.0, 3.6.1, and 3.6.2 contained a defect wherein duplicate components would be created during modeling. This can cause performance of model updates to degrade over time with Service Impact installed.

To fix this issue, customers are advised to upgrade the vSphere ZenPack to 3.6.3 or higher, wait 6-12 hours for modeling to complete (and the duplicate components to be removed) and then run an impact graph update using the following procedure:

1. From the serviced master, attach to the zenimpactstate container:

   serviced service attach zenimpactstate

2. Switch to the zenoss user:

   su - zenoss

3. Run a graph update:

   zenimpactgraph run --update
